Barcelona and Manchester City Reach Agreement on Rodri Transfer

Today, several prominent reporters revealed that the deal for Barcelona to sign Rodri—the player who wears the number 16 Manchester City jersey—is nearing completion.An agreement with Manchester City is imminent, with the transfer fee set at €55 million plus performance-based add-ons; the deal is expected to be officially completed today.
As one of the world's elite midfielders, Rodri's quality is unquestionable. He captained the team to the title at this summer's World Cup while wearing the Spain jersey, and was personally named the tournament's best player.Real Madrid had previously pursued him aggressively and were considered the favorites to sign him, only to ultimately miss out.
Barcelona recently submitted an offer to Manchester City. City initially took a hard line and rejected the opening bid, but Barcelona immediately raised their offer and engaged in multiple rounds of negotiations.
